SHKS - ICN2025 Helsinki
The Finnish Nursing Education Foundation (SHKS) is the Platinium- sponsor for ICN congress in Helsinki 9-13.6.2025. The congress is arranged by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and in partnership with the Finnish Nurses Association (FNA) . We had a planning meeting on 29.4.2025 with representatives of the ICN organization. The meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer Howard Catton, Director of Communications and Events Richard Elliot, Head of Digital & Sponsorship Pilar Millan Gomez and from FNA Executive director Anne Pauna.
The foundation is involved in the ICN Student Assembly on June 2025.
Among other activities, the Foundation (SHKS) has arranged a Symposium related to research funding.

In the workshop, the content consists of presentations about research funding and support for successful applications. There will be a perspective of applicant, evaluator of proposals and receiver of the funding. After that, the audience will discuss in groups about important points for research funding and expectations for funding bodies.
The objective is to motivate nurse researchers for funding applications, and to see research as part of their career.
